Our client is leading International bank based in the City.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
In conjunction with the wider Business Risk team, designs and develops capabilities to help monitor and manage operational risk across the organisation.
Works independently on important risk related projects to align with the wider Business risk frameworks.
To facilitate buy-in from the first line business, fostering a positive risk culture throughout the business.
Provides review and challenge of first line risk-related activities.
To assist in ensuring that risk management framework remains effective whilst also beginning to align with Business requirements and policy.
To assist in production of RCSAs for key first line activities in line with Business standards.
To provide support and assistance to first line risk owners to ensure they are able to effectively identify, assess, monitor and report on their risks and communicate them to senior management.
To produce risk reports for senior management, the various Governance Committees and our Clients.
To assist with the risk incident reporting process, including assisting first line business with recording incidents, monitoring open incidents and ensuring that these are resolved in a timely manner and in line with agreed policy.
To assist in review and critical analysis of incidents, root causes and thematic reviews. Perform detailed investigations where appropriate.
To generate and analyse incident related management information including trends and costs for all levels of management including senior executives.
Assist with preparations for Business ISAE reports and potential consolidation planning.
To assist with the implementation of aspects of the IFPR project plan.
Assist in the development of risk and conduct materials as and when necessary.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have a good understanding of key asset management processes covering both front and back offices.
Must have a good understanding of the products / funds across multiple asset classes.
Must have a good understanding of the regulatory requirements, and ideally new/pending regulations and how these may impact the business.
Comfortable dealing with a wide range of stakeholders including Executive Management.
Tenacity to progress critical issues in the face of opposition.
Excellent knowledge and proven experience of risk management in a similar environment.
