Our client is an international insurance firm, areas of specialisation include property damage, accident, liability, marine and aviation insurance.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the CRO to build and embed an internal control framework
Engagement with risk coordinators from different business functions to set risk appetite, tolerances and limits on annual basis. And submit for board approval.
Enhance the quarterly enterprise risk management process within through risk indicators, risk control tool and loss event database. Help to identify, assess and monitor on the risks faced and report any breaches of risk tolerance and limits.
Produce and present quarterly risk report to the Risk Management Committee.
Hold the secretary position of the Risk Management Committee. Contribute to internal risk / solvency reporting to the management and the Board.
Continuously develop, maintain and monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of the ERM framework.
Perform and document the ORSA process, manage the risk analyses (in regards to risk profile / risk drivers and capital adequacy via scenario / stress testing and qualitative assessments) and ORSA reporting under the Solvency II requirements.
Review and maintain the Solvency II policies and keep the policy library up to date.
Provide trainings on risk management and help build the risk awareness and culture within the company.
Act as the centre point of risk reporting from different departments across the company.
Help maintain the relationships with other regulatory bodies such as the PRA and FCA.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Experience of risk management or related work in general insurance market.
Good understanding of enterprise risk management methods and principles.
Excellent reporting writing skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills, able to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences.
Broad risk management background who is familiar with the day-to-day operations of an Insurance company
Good knowledge of the requirements of Solvency II capital modelling is preferred.
Good problem solving and relationship management skills.
Excellent in MS Suite (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access).
Manage the timely delivery of results, meeting required internal and external deadlines.
