Our client is an international bank. They are a leading provider of Trade Finance, Corporate & Institutional Banking.
Act as a key internal subject matter expert and support for the Business Risk Management Framework
Formulate and report on risk measures to senior management, and provide supporting analysis to inform business decision making
Support the risk oversight responsibilities of the Board Risk Committee (BRC) and the Risk Management Committee (RMC), including by the preparation, coordination and presentation of agenda items and MI packs.
Provide support and input on key regulatory documents (ICAAP, RRP, Stress Testing Framework) and on key internal risk management policies including the Risk Appetite Statement
Develop and maintain relevant policies and standards to ensure that effective risk management is embedded into the operating model
Drive the maintenance of the enterprise risk register, ensuring that key risks are identified, assessed, and have KRIs, owners, and actionable plans assigned (where appropriate). Facilitate stakeholder sessions for review and feedback, with final recommendations to be presented in RMC and BRC meetings
Support the CRO in maintaining and enhancing risk governance and oversight, via structured and ad hoc or change-related activities such as the extension of the framework to cover the strategic risks arising from climate change.
Promote a risk-aware culture and personally demonstrate the required culture and behaviours, with a positive attitude to support business development within prescribed risk parameters
Maintain an effective relationship with key stakeholders to improve risk mitigation and monitoring tools
Demonstrated experience within a similar role
Adhere to Conduct Rules and to ARC Objectives relevant to the role
Strong knowledge of banking industry products/services.
Confidently learns new topics and embraces a changing regulatory environment.
Communicates effectively with multiple stakeholders including senior management and those from differing cultural backgrounds.
