Operations Officer

THE COMPANY:

Our client is an international leading bank, based in the City.  They are currently looking for an Operations Officer to join the thriving team.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be working in a small team and quickly adapting to cover a broad area of duties. The responsibilities will include:

• Oversee and manage daily operational activities, ensuring compliance with both internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks in operational processes, driving continuous improvement.
• Serve as a liaison, facilitating effective communication between the bank, its clients, and other stakeholders.
• Play a key role in project initiatives, particularly those focused on systems automation, to boost operational effectiveness.
• Perform additional duties and support operational strategies as directed by the department head.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Professional certifications in banking or finance are desirable.
• A profound understanding of banking operations, with a demonstrated ability to delve into the intricacies of operational processes.
• A commitment to operational excellence and a genuine enthusiasm for operational duties.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Robust analytical skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the capacity to thrive under pressure.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel. SQL database skills are a plus.
