Trading Risk Manager

Our Client

Our client, a broker based in the City are looking for a Senior Trade Risk Manager to join the team

Responsibilities:

• Identify, analyse, and assess risks associated with trading activities, including market and reputational risks.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and recommend appropriate risk limits for trading activities.
• Monitor and review trading activities to ensure compliance with established risk management policies and procedures.
• Evaluate and approve new trading clients strategies, and initiatives to ensure that they meet established risk management criteria.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and other risk management professionals.
• Provide training and guidance to traders and operations staff on risk management best practices.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure that risk management considerations are incorporated into business decisions.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management or trading operations, preferably in a financial services company.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, trading products, and risk management techniques.
