Our client is a successful international bank with offices based in the City.
Lead the team in preparing portfolio credit risk MI, conducting risk oversight and providing update / escalate to the management and relevant committees as appropriate
Lead the team in conducting MI / data analysis in order to identify emerging risk and trends and ensure business operates in accordance with the Bank’s risk appetite and risk strategy
Lead the team in exploring movement and trends of the risk drivers in both macro environment and the credit portfolio constituents, identifying key risks for ongoing monitoring and providing enhancement recommendations as appropriate.
Lead the team in maintaining credit-related policies in the department, seeking improvement in credit process and the methodology and tools for IFRS9 and credit portfolio analysis
Develop / maintain a good understanding of enterprise credit policies and processes, the industry practices and regulatory expectation (e.g. Basel) in order to provide adequate credit risk advisory internally and keep management abreast of any material gaps, latest development and emerging trends
Provide SME opinion in relevant credit risk committee on credit sanctioning and/or credit risk management practices in general
Lead the team in facilitating the Bank’s Climate Change Work Group (CCWG) Work Plan, ICAAP and Pillar 3 reporting and providing quality analysis and SME advisory from credit perspective
Assist in or lead credit risk related projects, reviews or any other tasks as required
Solid credit risk management experience gained in financial service, consulting or accounting industry.
Strong overall knowledge of banking product (especially corporate lending) and credit risk management practices in general
Sound understanding of credit risk theories and the latest regulatory requirements (e.g. Basel)
A self-starter with result-oriented and analytical mindset and strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop relationship, collaborate and communication and influence effectively
Good analytical skills and proficient in using SAS, Microsoft Excel (VBA) and Access (SQL)
Experience in statistical modelling development
