Operations Business Analyst – Post-Trade (Calypso or Murex Expertise)
An ambitious, FCA-regulated broker-dealer in the City is seeking a seasoned Operations Business Analyst with strong technical expertise in Calypso or Murex to join its post-trade operations team.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll drive operational change, enhance system capabilities, and ensure full compliance with UK and European regulations—all while supporting a dynamic, growing trading business.
What you’ll do
Act as a subject matter expert across the post-trade lifecycle: trade capture, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, corporate actions, and transaction reporting.
Leverage your Calypso or Murex expertise to lead the design, testing, and implementation of system enhancements and operational workflows.
Collaborate across teams – Operations, Compliance, Technology, Front Office – translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
Streamline exception management through deep root-cause analysis and scalable solutions.
Support new product launches and market expansions from an operations and systems perspective.
Contribute to regulatory readiness – from MiFID II to EMIR and SFTR – and support audits, risk reviews, and continuity planning.
What you’ll bring
5+ years as a Business Analyst in post-trade operations at a broker-dealer, investment bank, or FCA-regulated financial institution.
Hands-on experience with Calypso or Murex – a must. You’ll need to understand both the functional and technical sides of the system.
Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle processes across equities, fixed income and/or derivatives.
Familiarity with FCA and EU regulations (MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR).
Proven ability to document, re-engineer, and optimise operational processes.
Confident communicator who can work effectively with both business and tech teams.
Why apply?
Own the systems that power a growing trading business.
Work at the intersection of operations, technology, and regulation.
Join a high-visibility team in a role that offers real influence and progression.
