Our client is a well established banking business with a strong risk and regulatory culture. They are looking for an individual to join them for a 6 month contract.
Role Responsibilities:
Responsible for co-ordinating the risk control and self assessment (“RCSA”) with the 1LOD. Provide support to the 1LOD with testing of controls as this is rolled out and embedded. Co-ordinate with colleagues within 2LOD to ensure all areas are included.
Responsible for leading the 2LOD review and challenge on the areas of risk responsible for.
Working with the Head of Risk, implement and embed a risk management framework aligned to the needs of the organisation including strategic, operational, digital, regulatory and conduct.
Responsible for leading the review and update of Risk policies including the Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite Framework with sign-off by the Executive and Board. Ensure they remain aligned to industry and regulatory requirements. Continually assess to ensure the framework remains fit-for-purpose, assess the evolving needs of the organisation and implement and maintain risk processes and system to ensure delivery of framework outputs for the organisation and external stakeholders.
Working with the Head of Risk, implement and embed an incident management framework to be used within the Bank.
Lead the 1LOD through appropriate Incident Management activities and support risk colleagues with their respective areas covering Incident Management.
Requirements:
Second line operational risk experience gained within a banking environment.
Experience of carrying out RCSA’s
Framework development experience would be seen as a plus.
